Love the pics - thanks Wreck. Tents left at site are Joneyas - beginner tent. Ambers - Militery tent Horse and cart Leodimas (guess you may have logged out there) Also one horse of yours in full armour - now cured of being constantly hungry so will give better foals. Thanks all for coming.

Thanks for running the event! Your post was great and provided a lot of great information. Great job giving people the information they need. I know it's not easy to do and I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's hard work putting it together -- they can be pretty stressful, so I wanted to give some input on what I've seen at previous events that worked really well on Sklo!
Before starting raffle rolls, previously I've seen people pause and announce that the sign-ups are closing and take the time to review the list for any last minute entries (they always happen) and update the list as needed so no one feels left out. When you're ready to make a roll, why not use this opportunity to talk about each item as you go? Try describing the item and give credit to the donator(s). A lot of effort went into some of these donations (particularly that epic set of blacksmithing tools) so a good way to thank the person(s) for donating and also communicate with the players in attendance is to try saying something like, "Next up is an enchanted QL90 pickaxe with C101 W98! Donated by Shyguy!" Then roll. Raffles don't need to take forever, but something like this is short and sweet. Writing these also gives people in the previous roll time to pass on something they won if they'd rather someone else got the item.

I agree, while the raffle at this event was extremely time-efficient, it felt a little bit like a transaction with a vending machine. Taking just a moment to thank the donor helps raffles feel more like a community event, even if that takes a little longer.
Thanks again to everyone who worked so hard to make this event happen, from capturing the elite to donating prizes and taking down the site when it was done!
