Also selling gear to go with your animals:
Did you know? 1. A large cart pulled by adolescent 5 speed hell horses of the molten color without any gear tops out around 49,6km/h on flat ground? (46km/h when not using their speed boost) (hitched molten hell horses with 80ql shoes without any enchants will reach server cap speed a little above 56km/h!) 2. Branding can be done without having to tame hell horses. Branding allows you to put gear on, hence you can equip hell horses without ever having to tame them. |
Some advice on hell horse handling:
1. IF not hitched, hell horses might randomly turn agressive and attack you
(unless you are a Fo priest : "Priests of Fo with 60 faith and 30 favor are ignored by normal animals")
How to deal with:
- Unequip weapon
- Lead one animal at a time
- If attacked, quickly hitch or unlead them (unlead, clear target and get some distance before you approach again)
- Try to hitch them up when moving them long distances to avoid headache.
(A good idea is to bring a wagon or large cart hitched with something non-agressive, like horses/bison/bulls. You then hitch the hell horses and lead the non agressives back behind the wagon.)
2. Some hell horses will be attacked by spirit guards despite being born in captivity
How to deal with:
- Brand any hell horses that you intend to either 1. travel with and/or 2. keep on a deed with active templars
You can set your templars to not attack agressives so you can get your hell horse on deed to brand them safely - ( Manage ---> Settlement ---> Manage settings)
There is no cost to this and you can change your settings as soon as the hell horses are branded)
