Family view is off. I have not tried it via the method Resa mentioned. I will see if that works. Thanks for the help! *edit to add* So I tried Resa's method and it crashed again. Then I ran the shortcut as administrator and it worked fine. Again Ty for all the help

As Resa says, for me you need to launch the WU client first then shortcut for 2nd client and more. I'll test again when I get home from work

My problem ended up being it needed to set as administrator for it to work properly. Guessing Windows 10 had something to do with it. Launching one client from Steam and one from the shortcut works. Launching two from the shortcut also works. The only issue was it not being administrator. Ty for all the help!

I realize this was resolved for Dordain but the different experience Senitor and I have was gnawing at me. For me, my Steam is closed unless I'm using it for a game or shopping. It does not start with Windows. So, of course it crashes with the shortcut because the point of the second shortcut is to not open the Steam login window like the original one does. No Steam = crash, as intended

Sorry to necro a thread, but since all methods for multiclients seem to be written for windows version i thought i would add some Linux info. When at my other house, I tried to load up multiple clients on my machine is running LinuxMint. Loading from steam was fine, but trying to load from the Wurmlauuncher folder i got this error; Unexpected crash while setting up login The error was: </home/user/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Wurm Unlimited/WurmLauncher/nativelibs/libSteamClientJni.so: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory> It's possible you might figure out what's wrong from the log file below, but if you can't, post the full log on the wurm unlimited forums, and someone else might be able to help you.
Contents of temporary launch log: Time is Thu Sep 21 07:31:36 BST 2017 Running client version
=== System information === Executing from /home/USERNAME/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Wurm Unlimited/WurmLauncher/ Operating system: Linux (arch: amd64, version: 4.4.0-21-generic) Java version: 1.8.0_121 (Oracle Corporation) <http://java.oracle.com/> Jvm version: 25.121-b13 (Oracle Corporation) [Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM] Available CPUs: 4 ... etc.,etc.
I found out that the file libsteam_api.so isn't normally in the nativelibs folder. but actually it is in the main WurmLauncher folder. so, i copied it into nativelibs as well. Sorted! requesting a file in the wrong location, way to go wurm devs. This error may occur on the Windows version, but as i've never had a problem i suspect the Windows java software is more tolerant.

Also getting the red crash screen. Doesn't matter if I launch from steam first or not. But the run as admin worked.
