The beta program is still available, and users who signed up for it will still receive new features early. If you'd like to leave the beta program, you can use the beta sign up link. The original post has been updated with more information.
Oh, and thanks to the beta testers for testing the app!

Love it Michiel! I too would like to see a report of the crops you can harvest at a given time, but other than that I can't think of anything that the app doesn't already have Very impressive!

A harvest calendar has been planned for a while, but since there appears to be a randomness factor in the harvesting times we would probably need to add something to the server to get accurate harvest times. But I will definitely look into it.

We need a button to tell the server to generate a new dragon. I can help with the testing of this feature.

Is there any way to get the app without going through Google Play? I'd love to use it on my non-Googlified Android tablet.

Of course this version will not receive any automated updates.

As far as iOS coverage goes, you may be interested in trying React Native. It will require a rewrite, but you will have a single app that can be deployed to android and iOS, as well as desktop.

I actually have considered rewriting the app in Flutter before (which is a framework similar to React Native). But even if we did have the time to actually rewrite the app, we'd still run into problems when publishing it.
Even when built with a framework like Flutter, iOS apps still need to be built on a Mac computer (unless Apple released their SDK for other platforms recently), not to mention that I don't have a single Apple device to actually test the app with. And even if we do get the app nicely iOS-ready, Apple will still expect us to cough up the annual $99 developer fee to put it on the App Store (while Google is still letting me upload all the apps I want for those 20 bucks that I paid them in 2014 for a high school project).
So I am afraid that we will not get the app on iOS.
There is still a chance that we will someday expand the app to a web app, if time allows it (and if there is any demand for it), but for now it will be just Android.
