Coming soon to Liberty! A new kind of event!

Pirate's Treasure Hunt!
Follow in the footsteps of a veteran explorer as he searches for lost treasures buried on Liberty! Read his journal as he unravels clues and tells the story of pirates and their treasure and how it all ties in to Sklotopolis ancient history.
Become the explorer. Seek the treasure. Dig it up. Keep it all in your greed or share with your friends!
FAQs:
Begins Saturday March 10 at 6:00 PM UTC and ends Monday March 12 6:00 PM UTC
An event announcement will be broadcast across liberty directing players to this post. The event will start on a designated time.
There will be no teleporter for this event. You can start anywhere on Liberty.
There is no staff intervention required, this is a self-guided adventure.
This first part of the explorer's journal will be posted here once the event starts. Each journal entry will tell the story and give you clues. The first entry here will tell you where to start. Subsequent journal entries will be found in game. You will only see the first one here on this post to get you started.
The jounral entries you find in game will actually be links to an image on imgur so you will need to use a browser to actually read the entries. The images are those of an old book with the story written on the pages.
You will need to search, similar to an Easter egg hunt at each location for the next clue. Some may be easy, some may be hard. You will have to actually read the journal entries and use your wits to figure out where to look and where go next.
You will be required to travel and we suggest you bring a cart or wagon if you are the lucky one to find the treasure.
If you can figure out the location from all the clues and are lucky enough to get there first you will have to dig down to rock and tunnel in to find the buried treasure.
You may find distribution boxes containing token gifts along the way but the end treasure is first come first serve. But it is worth it to finish to the end even if someone has claimed the main treasure.
There may be only one treasure item buried or several in this event. Understand this before you get started. If you get there first you get the treasure. However if there is more than one item and you work together as a team we recommend sharing, or just keep it all and become a pirate yourself! If two or more reach the same place at the same time and you dig but are not working together as friends then it comes down to who can grab the most loot first. Tomservo and Elfin will not be answering PMs regarding this.
This event will be part 1 of a series with intervals TBD. All staff members may participate as players since they have no knowledge of this event. The only players excluded are Elfin and myself.
We may or may not continue the series based on participation and reception of the event but we hope to share more of the story and more treasures!
Any questions? Post them here. Thanks!
