It has been suggested that the Liberty Rift event could take place after the Double slaying event scheduled at 8:00pm UTC
We are estimating the Time around 10:00pm UTC to allow for both events and the raffle.
We also need to allow for travel time to the Rift, since we will not have a teleport for the Rift event.
Because the times are an estimate they may move +/- 30min depending on circumstance.
This is just a Yes or No vote. A No vote would mean the Rift would get scheduled for a different day.

I'd vote for before the slaying instead of after The slaying events have a more defined end. When the raffle is over, its over for everyone. The Rift has players hanging around to collect mats after its closed. I would hate to have that delay an event the GM's are hosting for us. Also, this vote is very short notice. I would feel bad if players logged in at 8:00pm and found out that they just missed the Rift. Maybe next time we can add the Rift to the slaying event vote and get it more smoothly organized. |

In my opinion I would like to see the Rift opened the next day at about the same time.
The main reason is because a lot of players simply teleport using the Event teleport command, kill the dragon and Karma back home. Life goes on.
The fact that now people will have to ride to the rift from the event teleport site is a pain because most of them won't have a horse or a cart since they teleported in the first place. Sure some people can help with a ride as a passenger but there is always that "I hope I can catch a ride" feeling and what happens if you don't ? You lose the event. This adds too many variables to the equation and gives an unease feeling.
If you plan on Sunday you simply get your fast cart, ride 30 min before the rift, park there, prepare and at the end you got a ride ready to go home.
Last event I saw a lot of people on foot (because of the teleporter) so I expect this time it will be the same.
On the other side I'm not sure if the rift is operable on Sunday as I did not check its opening window.

Yeah, the travel time is a huge concern. My reasoning was that you can just teleport to the slaying afterwards - thus no travel time at all. And you have 24 hours to collect rift materials, which really only takes a few min anyway.

I can't vote. But I am all for the rift after the slaying. Will make the travel to Liberty even more worthwhile.

Who needs a cart/horses to travel? I am happy to make cart and hitch HH to it for you. This would be at the event site with you set to command. We can travel like an army through Liberty to the Rift site. Then you can use the carts to return to your boats - if from Novus. or back to your deed if from Liberty. Your early posting here that you want a cart is all that is needed. What an adventure. Double slaying - army of Sklotopolis trek to Rift site - Rift  As well as posting here please pm me in game that you would like a cart and horses to be ready. I would hate for anyone to miss out. Holding the Rift before the event would make it way too early for those of us on the other side of the world. After the event works well. |

I live between the slaying and rift and can provide rides if needed as well.
