The first running of the "Liberty Island Road Rally" will we taking place on opening day of Concrete Jungle Imp-along!!
The race will start and finish at Concrete Jungle.
The green flag waves Saturday, September 1st @ 8:00pm UTC.
Prizes are:
1st Place: Winner: Snidor
A pair of clean 5 speed Molten HellHorses (Donated by Danielle of Rainbow Meadows Inn) equipped w/ 90ql shoes enchanted to 80+ woa (Donated by Sammysue) hitched to a Large cart (w/ a special surprise inside, donated by Mordraug). This thing will be very fast!
2nd Place: Winner: Arbi
5 speed Fierce Horse from Ocean View Stables equipped with a very nice saddle and shoes (by Sammysue and Iamyourfather)
3rd Place: Winner: Thekanickel
Nice riding equipment to make your own horse faster (Donated by Sammysue)
How will this race work?
Racers will assemble at Concrete Jungle.
A series of checkpoints will be selected at various locations around Liberty Island. (Checkpoints remain secret until start of race) At each checkpoint you will find a distribution box. Each box has a specific item to collect. Simply visit each checkpoint in any order you wish and return all items that you collected to me at Concrete Jungle. First racer to return with all items is the winner.
When its time to start the race, a link will be posted in LOCAL chat. This link will open a map with checkpoints marked. There is no set route or order that they must be visited, that's up to the racers. Just visit and collect from each distribution box.
Some knowledge of Liberty Island terrain and infrastructure could be beneficial.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own transportation (cart, wagon, mounts, whatever you like).
Carts equipped with shoed HH's of various speed traits are being assembled (with the help of Sammysue and Elfin) and will be available on loan to those who wish to participate but cant bring their own wheels. Please reply to this thread if you wish to borrow a cart , there will be 15 available so contact Bonez to reserve one while they last.
