For general keybinding, learn to love exec files. These allow you to change keybinds on the fly in Wurm. For example, I hit F1 for my farming commands, Shift+F3 for my digging commands, and these both change the values of the 1-5 keys. You can read more on Wurmpedia. You will also want to read the pages on the console and keybindings.
You will end up creating a custom keybindings file for all of this in your profile. I highly recommend backing it up every time you edit it because I have had Wurm Unlimited overwrite it.
It can take some time and effort getting all this working smoothly, but it is well worth the effort.
I also have some files I manually load using exec when I want some less often used commands. Like I have one right now which replaces the 1-5 key commands with build pottery door, build pottery wall, build pottery window, et cetera because I'm building a series of pottery buildings. Saves a lot of menu searching.
As for specific keybinds using Bdew's action mod, here are a few off the top of my head:
When you are creating a bunch of stuff and you want to activate one thing and hover over a stack of other stuff, use the "act_show on" command to get the action number and save yourself a ton of right clicking. As an example, when I was grinding farmer's salve, I would combine a bunch of fat, activate it, then hover over big stacks of garlic so I could fill my action bar.
Farmer's Salve 10650: bind space "act 10650 hover"
Note that there is no automation here. This is the same as if you had right-clicked on the stack and chosen Alchemy -> Mix -> Farmer's Salve (or whatever). Also great for those things which don't show up in the crafting window.
// Embark and Disembark. I had some issues early one where these worked more consistently than the text versions.
