What the heck is Holy Crop? Well, if cast successfully, it increases the number of crops harvested from crop tiles that are under influence of Fo.
But to do this cast we need a few strong Fo priests to contribute a link for the cast! The cast requires 300 favor to cast (which requires linking and Linking increases difficulty of the cast) So we need 3-5 priest to link with Caster after the slaying. Few links with enough favor will limit the increased difficulty. The rest of you Fo Priests please pray a lot from now till Nov 10th, because your prayers fuel the spell. We plan to do this cast regularly on both Liberty and Novus (this one is on Novus). Keep watch on the forums for when the Liberty Holy Crop will be cast! (it will be spammed starting the week before the cast).
Here is how it all works. In preparation for Nov 23rd you set out and plant as many crops as your willing to plant and then go around and place Fo Altars (pray while your at it). Then, tend them like normal, Nov 23rd after the slaying we will cast “Holy Crop” and BAM the crops you have not yet harvested yet will yield MORE than normal. When they are ripe, click on them to see how many they are suppose to yield, then after the event, check the tile again and the crop yield will be higher!
All you Fo priests know that Vyn doesn’t give us any love from the Rite of Spring cast that grants Vyn followers sleep bonus. So don’t go out there planting Fo Altars around Vyn areas, they don’t give us any of Vyn’s sleep bonus, so lets not share our Holy Crop effects with those heathens!
So show the great God Fo how much he means to you and plant a lot of crops and plenty of FO Altars to expand the influence.
Tips on how to best plant your crops. I know many of you probably figured out a lot of easy tricks to sow quickly and effecently. Well there are still noobs here joining the game everyday. Here is what I do.
1. Make as many satchels as you have toolbelt slots.
2. Prep your field tiles
3. Fill your satchels with seeds.
4. Put your satchels onto your toolbelt
5. Bind a key to “Sow”
6. Walk up and down your field tiles planting with just two buttons, (your toolbelt slot number and your sow key).
7. Pray every 20 minutes!
If you fire up your sleep bonus before you start planting you will find that this is the fastest farming skill gains you can get (till you get into your 80’s).
Again, we need Fo Priests and Followers to pray every 20 minutes (even if your maxed out with Faith). We need 3-5 Fo priests with 90+ favor for the cast. And we need you to plant lots of crops to maximize the benefits of the cast!
So If your faith is 90+ and you know your going to be at the event please let me know how much faith you have and your channeling skill. My Channeling skill is 86.5 and my Faith is 98.20
