Welcome to the quickguide on how to set up your priestapalooza sheet! Due to the positive feedback on this sheet and no alternatives being around Settler and I decided to release our version to the public.
Special thanks to Settler at this point for starting this project and dragging me along!
Follow this quickguide:
1. First open the original sheet via this link
Original palooza sheet to make working copies with!
To use the palooza sheet you are required to have a Google account and be logged in.
You can’t edit anything in the original.
In the top left go to File → Make a copy → click OK
2. Set up permissions
Copying the sheet above will make you owner of the new copy and you will have full permissions. Other participants in the standard setup will be able to edit column A,B,C to sign in and complete their sermon and G if they need to fix an error in their completion time.
Optionally if you want to give your moderators additional rights for your sheet they also require a Google account and you will need their email addresses to add them. You need to edit the protected columns, follow this link on how to do that:
support.google.com/docs/answer/1218656?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=enIt
We strongly recommend the standard setting as it is tested and worked very well. Note that there are other restrictions enforced by sheet code e.g. only the current open slot can be completed. In our experience the fail rate with this setup was very low.

3. Set Palooza start date and share the sheet
- Go to Settings (Tab at the bottom) → Planned Palooza start time and type the date and time when your Palooza starts in there.

- Share the sheet via the share button on the top right. Click on “Change to anyone with the link”. The pop-up will extend downwards. There click on “Viewer” and select “Editor” from the opened drop down list. Now you can click on “Copy link” and share the sheet with everything set up correctly!
And thats already it.
For more information we included a complete manual within the sheet. Make sure to read those useful tips in the manual to smoothen your palooza experience!
Manual can be found here, too:
A way too detailed manualFeel free to write questions, concerns or suggestions in this forum thread so it might accumulate enough content to act as a FAQ archive!
