I saw a Quality Lock feature on wurmpedia but was unable to get it to work. I'm assuming this is a relatively new WO feature that probably didn't make it to WU; however, I wanted to verify if this is the case.
It would be nice to have this feature so that I don't have to sort through my stuff before dropping them into separate containers.
Side note: the admins have done a great job on this server and I've enjoyed it so far for the past few years. However, it's unfortunate that new WO features are no longer being added to WU. Some of the new features discussed at WO City Hall would be great additions, but I can understand that the admins can't port them in due to copyright issues or whatnot. Either way, I don't plan on going back to WO.
BSB's and crates already have a "sorted" or "unsorted" feature.
True, but the way I organize my goods, I have a "sorted" 70+ QL BSB and then an "unsorted" Low QL BSB, for example. When I come back from killing mobs or thinning my herd, I have to expand the items I have and drag 1 by 1 those that are 70+ or under 70ql into their respective BSB. If I have over 50 items I need to put into the BSBs, I'd be click/dragging 50 times after looking at the QL and deciding which BSB each one goes into. Or, I can expand those items and sort my personal inventory, then click/scroll/multi-select group of 70+ql items and drag into that BSB and so on. But I'd have to do this for each group of items in my inventory.
If we had the Quality Lock feature and the "sorted" BSB is locked at 70QL, then I can drag multiple group of items into this BSB and anything left over in my inventory are the lower QL items that I can then drag into the "unsorted" low QL items BSB. I would just have to click and drag 2 times, once for each BSB. That's the benefits of this feature above and beyond the "sorted" or "unsorted" feature.
Thanks dominikk. It seems like that mod is just the sorting/unsort mod that we have. Yes, it's a great mod but it doesn't address the quality lock feature WO put out. It would be great if bdew can integrate the quality lock feature into his mod or someone write up a separate mod to do the same thing.
I guess it's just the way I organize things that having both the sort/unsort feature + quality lock would make things so much easier.
Anyways, maybe one day we can get the quality lock feature implemented somehow.
