Hi, I wondered if anyone has any solutions to the camera swing which happens when I click a point on the screen it will randomly swing the camera up in the sky or behind me. It happens mainly when mining a tile, with me having alts to mine also it happens on every one of them. I've googled it and seen some people having this issue, mainly Wurm Online though but some said it was fixed but I get this quite regular. I have head bob turned off, i've turned down sensitivity to 1 and still have this problem. It is annoying when mining as it always happens, trying to get into a rhythm of mining and camera goes into the ceiling or behind. This has happened since I started playing about 4 or 5 months ago, i've just put up with it but I hope someone can off a solution to fix it. I will link posts to other people having this issue also if it helps. Camera swingCamera swingCamera swing

When I put in a period of mining with my alts, it often happens at least once, sometimes more. I have found nothing in the settings to get rid of it either. This has been going on for a couple of years for me. For me, it seems to primarily happen that I notice when I'm doing a bunch of intense mining and swapping from window to window. I've chocked it up to the Wurm client reading a click as an intent to move the camera and just deal with it. I just pretend that my alt got bored and their attention wandered.

Yes that's exactly what happens to me with my alts. I have the 3 other alts on a 2nd screen and as you click to mine it goes crazy. It's strange how other people don't seem to get this though, it seems it only happens to a few.
Since you have had it for a long time as well I guess it's something I have to live with, doesn't seem to be any fix for it anywhere. It only really bothers me when mining with alts as you can't get into the rhythm of clicking without dragging camera back around. Thanks for reply.
Edit: Actually just messing around with settings now, when you change the slider for sensitivity in the menu I noticed nothing happens with it. I did set this to 1 on the slider and thought it did something but it wasn't until I opened console and put "sensitivity 1" that I realised that does change it. Now I am not getting the huge swings like I did before but just very slightly but cursor stays on the rock tile at least. Not sure why menu slider doesn't work though but I always thought it did until now.

Yep, happens a lot when screen switching for me. Might not be a thing for all the single monitor peeps, who knows. Most probs a "feature" of WO that crossed over for us.

I suffer this when navigating the world. I have heard that it's a known bug that was finally fixed in Wurm Online after they stopped supplying Wurm Unlimited with updates. Which means we will likely never obtain the fix.

I have recently found a small (kind of annoying) work around to the issue: since clicking on the window itself causes the camera to pan directly upwards (or in a different direction) with the click, there is a way to make a window active without clicking on the window itself, even if you alt-tab:
Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Change how your mouse works -> Check: Activate a window by hovering over it with the mouse. As it states, hovering with mouse will activate the window in place of a mouse click. When playing multiple alts (example: mining a vein), I have their windows next to each other on the screen, and can just mouse-over and press my mining keybind, instead of clicking the window itself and risking the screen panning upward with the bug (which may accidentally ruin your mine ceiling depending on how fast you are to react while filling up your queue lol)
I can recommend that if you are on a quest to turn it back off: minimize all windows, as you will be dodging open windows being activated while returning to Ease of Access.

Thanks I will give this a try. All i've been doing so far is reduce sensitivity to 1 and it reduces the swing at least. I usually have it on sensitivity 3 but that makes the swing go crazy lol.
