So apparently I should have kept close track of my activities during the holiday week.
I didn't, and there are consequences. Get up early on Jan 1st to Wurm in peace while everyone kills the hangover, score a Q90 map.......... riiiiight limit's weekly, each map has its own seven day timer THAT I CAN'T CHECK. And shame on me for being so disorganized in my videogaming, I stupidly went easy on new years' eve to ge that Jan 1 fun time, stupidly got early to play, stupidly got my hopes up when I landed that first Q90 map of the year, stupidly kept mining while it reset scoring more maps, finally gave up in the evening.
Got up now, figuring it's still early and may as well salvage my crap monday:
[08:42:00] You can only find 4 chests per RL day and 10 chests per RL week.
The drop rate is random, every 100-7500 actions (yeah, it's not too hard to count when filling bsb's with ores), the loot is randomer (a Q90 map can score you q20 results, FREQUENTLY IN FACT), so of course the timer is BY MAP AND MILIMETRICAL DOWN TO THE LAST SECOND.
So much for playing at one's own goddamned leisure, should have carefully devised restrictions to my gameplay during the holidays to ensure free gameplay afterwards.....

Exactly, or remove the idiotic "4 per day" limit. It's 10 per week, that daily limit just imposes a pointless arbitrary limitation. Got 10 maps and can only play one day that week? Nooooo.... 4.... because reasons.... Great way to greet 2024, frustrated because restrictions imposed as a result of some idiot's amateur hacking in 2022 and RL randomness a week before. Inspiring!

We had so many problems with these chests in the past, so either we take them with limits in place or we remove them completely.
Next update will add a countdown message.

I absolutely understand why the limits were likely in place (in order to prevent players from hoarding and completing dozens of maps per day, monopolizing the market), so I'm not opposed to weekly limitations for anyone at all! I suppose the real question I think was being asked, was about the 4/4/2 limits. I know some players may only be able to play 1 or 2 days a week, and may have 6 or 7 maps on-hand, but aren't able to complete the long adventure to finish them all in the same day, and may not have the motivation to spend their next available free time out and about again. It is certainly a mood one needs to be in, and for that majority of players, something they make a weekly event to go on an exploration trip. However, I do also find that maps tend to stack up at times as well, with the highest quality being completed first, and lower qualities almost forgotten, not worth a spot in the 4/4/2 system we have currently, unless they are the only ones available. The only proposed change I can think of, would be enabling a limit of 7-10 per week, as we have now, but removing the daily restrictions. But, with this in mind, was there something on the back-end causing issues with players completing more than 4 per day? What I can think of, may be corpse decay if they're not buried potentially causing increased lag, but aside from that, I personally am not sure. However, if it's a server-side limitation, then I would say it's absolutely justified! Just hoping it would be possible to shed some light on the question that has likely commonly been asked!

Yeah I think what people want isn't about trying to get the weekly limit raised, but just to have more flexibility on when you do the existing limit within the week.
