Some weeks ago, I and my sister (Melissabrooks) were describing a lovely place we'd seen on GL Freedom when some other players suggested we write articles about the creative deeds and structures we see around Sklotopolis. This is the product of that idea, Sklotopolis' very own travelogue, the Treasures of Sklotopolis!
At least once a month, we will try to feature screenshots and a description of a featured structure or settlement. Please feel free to message me about places you think should be a Treasure of Sklotopolis!
Without further ado, here's the Brooks Sisters' first Travelogue, featuring a desert -- which may be appropriate given our recent Sklotopolis dry spell! We hope you enjoy it, and that it helps to slake our collective thirst.
ISSUE 1 - Camellia Valley Inn (Mayor: Mokum)
-----------------------------------------
It started with a rush order for furnishings to be delivered to an inn that presides on a cliff overlooking unforgiving lands. The trip to Camellia Valley Inn (Coords: X3077, Y1030) is a hard journey east towards Haven from my workshop in Gravelton (Coords: X504, Y442) through thick forests and desert wastes teeming with beasts, but I admit that neither of us were prepared for what awaited us.
The Camellia Valley Inn is a scenic, luxurious respite for weary travelers daring the wilds, a veritable oasis overlooking the hostile desert. The desert dunes were swarming with ravening crocodiles and scorpions, their chitinous bodies gleaming in the pre-dawn gloom.
With religious and meditating facilities located just within the protection of the settlement walls, it boasts a spacious, two-tiered tavern with bar seating. Offering well-appointed rooms and breathtaking views, the inn sources fresh dairy and crops from local sheep and farms located right on site!
The proprietor, Mokum, is welcoming and friendly and, like the Brooks sisters, really excited about coming updates to cooking for his inn. We hope you all have a chance to visit his establishment!
Join us next time for another issue of the Treasures of Sklotopolis! Or, if you think you know a settlement that should be featured, let us know! We have a few other locations currently in the queue, and will get to your suggestion as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading!
