An alliance mate suggested I should post this here to advice of roadway disruption and construction. I apologize if I was supposed to post this before beginning adjustments a few weeks ago. This is a project of turning a one-tile-wide non-highway roadway into a nicely built highway that is two tiles wide, smooth slope, and paved with cobblestone.
There is a roadway along the southern side of the lake we are settled on that is a single tile wide slab road. The road existed when we settled this area. It was built not particularly level, going up and down like some sort of Disney ride. (See screenshot two below, though I don't have a good shot of the worst parts of the road.)
The road is drawn on the main Sklotopolis map, but was not built as a highway as it is not two tiles wide nor paved in cobblestone. There is a GM sign at 3,318 x 2,070 where the main highway turns south stating "Road Paid Until This Point". This is before the single tile road begins. (See screenshot three below.)
The new roadway will fill Y 2,070-2,071, which lines up with the existing highway. It will maintain this Y value as far possible to the west.
Map
Stage 1 (shown in red): Rework the road down to a smooth 10 slope per tile from the highway down to the lakefront area of my deed. The sloping is done, but the slate slabs have not been replaced yet.
Stage 2 (shown in orange): Continue the roadway west across my deed. Digging and surface mining are complete. I need to do some dredging to allow for some additional surface mining to form what will be harbor area. There is no pavement, but area is completely passable as it is all rock. Once the rock is lowered for the harbor, dirt and pavement will be placed for the highway.
Stage 3 (west, off of map): Continue the rework of the roadway west across the front of my deed. The road altitude will rise to the level of the clay pit at around 3,310 X.
Stage 4 (west, off of map): Once an alliance mate has finished setting up their deed on the lakefront near the southwest corner of the lake, we will work out exactly what path will be taken to connect to the new highway there. This will require a small southern turn as the new highway is about seven or eight tiles south.
