Building a new road and a few guard towers along the way. Probably finished by the end of the week.
Edit: Finished the road. Decided to scrap the part in orange due to impossible terrain. imgur.com/a/ZQkSv
Diagonal part: (x:1916 y:2988) to (x:1766 y:3138) ~150 tiles south and 150 tiles west Rest: (x:1766) to (x:1664) & (y:3138) to (y:3201) ~160 tiles
5 guard towers at: (x:1657 y:3141) , (x: 1713 y: 3135) , (x: 1766 y: 3140) , (x: 1816 y: 3090) , (x: 1705 y: 3200)

As a rather nearby neighbor, I am curious - why so many roads that only take you where there are existing roads?

Because I use this route (genesis and north road) a lot and its a much faster that way. Also im a bit tired of traveling on poorly built roads with 20 inclines so id rather build my own and enjoy a smooth ride. I also need digging and paving skill so instead of paving one tile a thousand times i might as well build some roads, no?
Edit: Also if the primary motivation for building this road was earning silvers, carving a perfectly symmetrical and diagonal road into a mountainside probably wouldn't be the best way to accomplish this. Just saying..
