From the day I first came through the portal Sklo has been a special place. A place where citizens are free to explore and enjoy in any manner they choose. I have experienced so many cool and wonderful things here and I feel so lucky. Life here is not always a joyful one and it seems there is something strange going on. There is a dark undercurrent that I have never quite been able to put my finger on. There have always been the occasional massive beast wandering the wilds of Liberty Island. Then we experienced the troll sieges on Novus in its younger days. All savage attacks without provocation. Then the trolls moved to Liberty to rage once or twice there. During all of this citizens have had to deal with various rifts popping up. Always flooding the fields with wild monsters. All of this brings us to the current day and my village of Port Durendale on Liberty. It seems the village is cursed and the signs of something truly catastrophic occurring are growing. First it was just whispers in the dark. Then scurrying in the village mine. Now and then there are scorch marks no one can explain. It bears all the signs of previous unexplainable invasions of rogue creatures. There is a drake currently running free in our lands. My biggest fear is the growing chaos and strife around Port Durendale is going to attract its attention. A large battle is the perfect opportunity for one to swoop in for some easy prey. I feel strongly the community needs to band together to stop the invasion no matter the cost. I would like to invite the community to come to this invasion event. It will start at 7pm UTC on March 19th and will end when we get tired of getting pummeled by mobs being dropped on us. This will test even the most veteran fighters skill. That said I want to welcome and encourage players of all fighting skill levels to join us. I am sure on the surface the event might sound scary, but sklo is the greatest place to come experience something like this. First off there is no penalty on the server when you die and we will have an area for tents that will be safe to respawn. At that area we will have healers and other helpers so if you need to retreat from the fight we will have all kinds of services to get you back into the fight. If for some reason you experience heavy equipment damage or loss I will personally help to repair or replace. I am aiming this service at encouraging new players. My first goal is to host a different type of event for the community. My second goal is to encourage and do my best to help players who might be timid about combat and exploring. Trust me when I say there is going to be a fiery surprise or two. As I already said this server is an amazing place to try something new without fear or penalty. So join us on the 19th for a wild ride! Date: March 19th 2022 Time: 7PM UTC Location: Port Durendale

Dordain have you tried examining the walls of the buildings for roaches? Often sounds like whispers. Roaches love dark mines.

Or perhaps it is the Black Legion? I have seen what they did when they surfaced up from the ground at Hidden Inn. Caution should be the word of the day for the town of Durendale!!

That said if it is roaches they are leaving scorch marks. Which means they are breathing fire and that is troubling.

Something like that is entirely possible. Port Durendale has been around for a long time now. There were also settlements there prior to its founding. A lot of events have passed over this ground. Could very easily attract dark forces!!!

What do we need to bring Dordain? Are things still going bump in the night? Are there any strange red beams??

The noise has grown louder. The shadows are playing more tricks on villagers after dark. Not many folks are stopping by and today this was found A healthy young boar found dead with several odd bites marks on its neck. There is no telling what shall happen next!!!

Based on the past two pictures, it seems there is a very large cat bringing your "presents" to show what a mighty hunter they are. I love cats, but one big enough to hunt a full grown boar as if it were a mouse makes me a tiny bit ... nervous.
