Welcome to the amazing and exciting post for the upcoming Ludus Magnus all things combat event. My name is Dordain and I have played both WO and WU since 2012. In that time I have had a lot of adventures Fighting a massive variety of monsters, finding cool treasures and visiting ruins of settlements I have so many memories of traveling the wilds, but the journey to get there was not easy. There were times in my early days I never thought I would be able to leave deed safely. Thankfully with the help of many people I was able to overcome my dread of adventuring in Wurm and now its time for me to give back.
The focus of the Ludus Magnus will be new players or players who just feel overwhelmed by combat and the fears that come with traveling beyond the safety of deed. Here on Sklotopolis we have so many cool features that making wandering the wilds an enjoyable change of pace from building and crafting. To that end this event will have everything from hunting parties, practice fighting in a safe and contained arenas to answering even the most minor questions about anything related to combat or traveling the servers. This will be a safe and comfortable space over the course of two days to do anything and everything related to the adventure lifestyle. This event might even prepare you for whats to come in October. At Ludus Magnus There will be imping services offered for weapons and armor in addition to everything else. So if you have ever had even the most basic urge to get out and slap trolls silly or to get yourself a nice bear rug. This is the event to get your start. I am sure there are some veteran players wondering, hey I want to kill things am I allowed to attend this event?
Yes my veteran friends we want to see you at this event. Your welcome to lead hunting parties with new players. You can volunteer to imp armor and weapons as needed if you like. There might even be some spaces for vendors if there is interest. However to be clear this is not an impalong. We are holding this events to help players new to combat in all phases. There will also be opportunities to battle in arenas against mobs and possible players if you can find a dueling partner. The only thing I ask is you remember we are focusing on new players and making them feel safe and comfortable with the adventuring lifestyle. This is not just a fight the monsters 24/7 event. Hopefully we all learn and grow from each other through the Ludus Magnus.
