Hello all. Thank you Dominick for making this for people. It is great for new players to help them get some coins to help the economy. What I am concerned about is the players that are staying online 24 hours a day and are obviously not interacting in the game. They do not respond to messages sent and its quite obvious they are not active. I do not feel this is fair. I would like to know if there is a way to have inactive people disconnected from the server if they are inactive for a set period of time. Say maybe 3 hours. I feel that if you not moving for 3 hours it is for sure you are not in the game. not sure if this is the place to post this but I wanted to be sure everyone would see it so they can comment. There are actually many reasons why players tend to be AFK/inactive for longer periods of time, dating far back before this new system was introduced.
This new system is extremely beneficial for players, providing coin to expand their deeds, and the ability to purchase in-game items from players after certain periods of time. However, before this system was introduced, players would be AFK to be able to receive messages from others, and respond to them when they returned. This especially works well for players who are selling items in-game, and who may not be around when they receive messages from players looking to purchase items. Being able to come back, read the message, and send the item VIA mail is an excellent system.
As well, the largest reason for being AFK/inactive is actually priestapaloozas, or events during which sermons will be held with the sole purpose of helping others grind their faith to 100. You could have several dozen players, and their alts, AFK at events, helping others to grind their skills. If they were forcibly disconnected, this would greatly de-incentivise such events.

Wanted to add different time zones effect when folk can buy and sell my neighbour is asleep when I am having lunch as example, not that we buy and sell much to each other just pointing it out. "I need to go for dinner" can turn into a couple of hours because real world things take precedent over in game things. Loads of things can and do go wrong. That said what is it? 30 iron every x amount of time? Not been keeping count as I've 35+silver in the bank so 30 irons isn't all that much addition for folk such as myself who have donated for silver, which some might consider a massive advantage and very unfair vs those who don't have the spare money to donate, or those who simply don't want too because I can buy money anytime I want and I will be soon not because I need it but because I like to donate a little every time I'm using the server a lot. While I am sure some people would AFK simply trying to get money perhaps a limit on the upper amount that you can earn per day (It can't be much as it is) rather than stopping folk from being online just in case they're afk iron farming. How one would tell that someone is deliberately doing this rather than x amount of other reasons they might be afk, I have no idea. |

60 iron x 24hrs = 1440 irons = 14.4 copper
14.4 copper * 30 days a month = 432 copper = 4.32 silver a month assuming fully blown permanent afk.
Doesn't exactly break the economy.

[12:03:26] You receive a bounty of 3 copper to your bank account. - that's 150 minutes worth of online reward coins in one kill.
People who are afk aren't making a mint on this but afk-kick is one of the most annoying things in games.
When i log on 15 characters at preistapaloozas to help people with their gains, i'm hardly going to relog them all every few hours because i had to work/sleep/have a life and was punished for that.
